There is no doubt why the 997 is the best sold 911 ever. Superior mechanicals, coming from the brilliant minds of engineers who have been busy perfecting the icon for over 50 years, in combination with styling cues of the much loved 993. That will say, pretty wide hips in combination with quintessential round headlights. Add state of the art modern safety equipment which makes you able to tame the 'engine in the back' and then it is no surprise the 911 wins the title of best all-round sports car every year. The 997 Carrera S is the 3.8ltr and 355bhp strong version with clear points of recognition such as red brake callipers, four exhaust pipes, and 19-inch Carrera S wheels. This offered exemplar is stylishly executed in typical silver-grey metallic with flawless black leather. It concerns the comfortable and sporty-when pleased Tiptronic-S version which can safely be driven to the absolute core on behalf of systems such as PSM and PASM. This very nice, wholly original and Dutch delivered exemplar is lavishly equipped with options and has a nice low mileage. The weather can be blamed for not having interior shots at the moment, they will shortly be up when we get better weather.
This 997 Carrera S is equipped with all sensible and fun options that were available at the time, a.o automatic climate control, Porsche Communication Management with DVD navigation and Cd player, Bose speaker-system with subwoofer, Porsche Stability Management, Porsche Active Suspension Management, infotainment system, adjustable multifunctional steering wheel, Xenon lights, alcantara headlining, Fully electric adjustable seats with memory function, heated seats, Park Distance Control, 19-inch Carrera S wheels, electric sunroof, cruise control, adjustable exhaust, etc.
Perhaps the best colour for a Porsche 911, Arctic Silver Metallic. Classic, sporty and the best colour to accentuate the gorgeous wide hips. It is evident this 997 did not live a hard life. No visible stone chips, the car remains damage free and the paint has a nice deep lustre. Exactly as the enthusiast pleases her.
Also the interior is worthy of a special mention. Note how tight the leather is on the seats, come and smell how 'new' the interior appears, and conclude with me this car is one of above average quality. As valuable option the first owner opted for double stitched leather throughout. Therefore also the dashboard offers a luxurious sight. On the floor original Porsche mats. The bolsters of the seats and kick sills are free from any signs of getting in and out of the car. A beautiful unity.
Neatly original engine compartment wherein the 355bhp strong Carrera S engine houses, which in the 997 is placed so far towards the centre not a lot can be seen from it. What can be seen is how nicely clean, original and cared for the whole looks. She holds a full dealer service history. Also in the luggage compartment no traces of usage to be seen. All is nice looking and damage free. One can also find the navigation module and the toolkit. The rather nice 19-inch Carrera S wheels are wrapped in as good as new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres.
Sold new in 2004 by a Dutch Porsche dealer. We acquired her from the third owner. The compete manual and service-booklet comes with the car. This 997 Carrera S is a neat, original and attentively maintained Porsche which optically radiates how neatly she was driven. Will be delivered with a new MOT, warranty, complete set of keys and a service.
