Bought out of love, this exceptionally nice and true GT Junior from 1972. Whilst the bookkeeper was not keen initially, I just had to have this car. She comes from a collection of an Italian gentleman who gifted the cars to his children. With SUV's parked up in front, iPhones constantly in hand and an outcry for non-existent power steering. This Italian gem needed to be saved before she would be parked up in the immensely big garage of generation "only the newest will do". And then suddenly these youngsters know how to appreciate such a piece of art. Moved on from that, with no consent from the bookkeeper, I found myself driving through the Italian countryside, with a grin from ear to ear. With the intention of cherishing this love forever. That is how this business originated, and under the heavy pressure of a lack of storage, family obligations and not in the last place the bookkeeping department, it is with pain in my heart I have to offer her for sale. A brief description; restored body, perfect fittings, excellent undercarriage and hollow areas, no rust, wonderfully and dust free painted in the original colour, upholstered with the correct material, and the mechanicals rebuilt. All in all, a classic Alfa ticking all the right boxes, in the prettiest colouration if you ask me. Very stylish and understated looks. The 90bhp strong Junior delivers impeccably fine driving characteristics and is easily quick enough to keep up with today's traffic. The engine, of which millions have been constructed by Alfa Romeo over the course of 30 years is highly reliable and gives the car its distinct sound. A five-speed gearbox fitted. Truly a pleasure to drive, nimble and quintessentially tail happy. Stop by and experience it, glancing and sharing our passion is also allowed.
An options list Alfa did not offer at the time. Fortunately, no holes in the dashboard have been made in order to fit a radio. This car is fitted with quality rubber mats with coloured-in texture.
Restored about ten years ago in Italy, painted in the original colour Verde Inglese. Excellent and dust-free paintwork where beforehand all glazing etc were disassembled. perfect alignment of panels. No indent or scratch to be seen. Undamaged bumpers. Nice and shiny brightwork. The most important aspect of this classic car, the body, is more than superb.
Beautiful interior with newly upholstered vinyl seats and rear bench. Shiny varnished wooden steering wheel and dashboard inlay. On top of the dashboard, two, as well as possible, repaired sun caused cracks. Clear and well functioning dials and gauges. Pretty headlining. Also the door cards have been renewed and have been reupholstered with original material.
Rarely have I seen such an original and clean, well kept engine compartment of a classic Alfa. The whole looks showroom fresh. Also the engine bay is crisp dark green, see for yourself. Also the luggage compartment is nicely dry and rust free. Original spare wheel, jack and tools can be found here. Steel wheels with pretty and understated centre caps lift the car to a class of its own. The Michelin fitted tires are as good as new.
Newly sold in beautiful southern Tuscany where the dry climate has preserved the body of too much humidity. The car always stayed in this area and has had just two owners. The original handwritten registration comes with the car. Maintained by an Alfa specialist who has renewed many vital cosmetic and mechanical parts over the years, of some very clearly documented in the pictures above.
