It was the talk of the town at the 2003 Geneva Auto salon. The Germans had created, on the fundamentals of their VW Phaeton, a revolutionary exceptionally handsome car after the design by Belgian Dirk van Braeckel, thankfully preserving quintessentially English Bentley DNA. The Continental GT was created to appeal to the mass and hence realize serious production numbers. They all knew very well, the 'Made in Germany' label on vital underpinnings would attract more potential buyers. These parts then had to be fitted to a preferably non-Germanic designed vehicle, that would unite the distinctive style, class and sportiness Bentley has a patent on. They succeeded 'nicely'. The car became all the craze. In 2006 further improved with a convertible version next to the coupe, called the GTC. All this success can indeed be traced back to the uniquely stylish and sporty design in combination with state-of-the-art mechanicals. The 12-cylinder engine from Germany produces, partly on behalf of twin turbos, an enormous 560bhp powering all four! wheels. You can not only fly with 300km/h on the Autobahn with the roof open, on behalf of all this power it is mainly the smoothness and silence you will appreciate. Impressive torque figures supply you with plenty of smoothness and comfort this make built its reputation on. You are hereby invited to experience it for yourself.
Self-explanatory a Bentley is equipped with all options imaginable at the time; Automatic climate control, adjustable heated seats, air-suspension, an extensive multifunctional Audio system with navigation and steering wheel controls, cruise control, fully electric adjustable seats with memory and massage functions, electric adjustable steering wheel, Park Distance Control, original foldable wind deflector, Bentley trickle-charger, 19-inch alloy Bentley wheels, Burl wood inlay on the dashboard, Bi-Xenon lights, fully electric convertible roof, etc. etc.
Executed in nice Dark Sapphire Metallic, without any visible traces or signs of usage. Wholly original and accident free. The German supplied Karmann convertible roof functions fully automatic and shuts perfectly blocking all wind and weather. No signs of wear or creases anywhere on the navy-blue convertible roof. Evidently this Bentley was garage kept, ensuring the paint of a deep lustre.
Here as well one can easily spy the sensible and careful usage of the car, nowhere any signs of wear or traces of usage to be seen, all is nicely clean. On the floor the original Bentley floor mats, lavishly thicker than in any other car, remain. All switchgear, steering wheel, transmission lever and 'paddles', are undamaged and spotless. Truly a gorgeous ensemble, tastefully opted for Saddle leather in combination with the dark blue exterior of the car.
The dream would be to have a glass bonnet on this car, what an absolute jewel this V12 with twin turbos, 560bhp strong. Spotlessly clean and wholly original. In the large luggage compartment the carpeting remains in new condition, here one finds the space saver, trickle charger, cover for the wind deflector, and even a Bentley hazard triangle. Never used of course. The tires are as good as new, the alloy wheels are flawless.
After mediation from a Bentley dealer I bought this Continental GTC Mulliner with a proven mileage of just 58.000km. She is a one-owner car and remains wholly original. Neatly Bentley dealer serviced. The original documentation, service manuals and two keys are present. This GTC will be delivered with a new MOT, warranty and a service. Ready to drive at no additional costs.
