The 550 Spyder from 1953, yes, the one James Dean tragically crashed in 1955, was the starting point for Porsche upon designing and bringing out the successful Boxster. For those who wanted a truly special, rare, and lavishly equipped Boxster, an opportunity to acquire a collector’s item. Just a few 550 Spyders have been sold in the Netherlands. Above all, it would be difficult finding a second one from this limited run this exquisite. And that is not only the aesthetics covered. The Boxster S 550 Spyder was only supplied in GT-Silver (dark Silver), the 550 Spyder of James dean was the same colour before he crashed it... The engine of a Boxster was hidden from sight due to its central placement. For the mechanic's eyes only. In front and behind one finds large luggage compartments. Neatly clean and evidently unused. The special alloy 18-inch two-tone Porsche wheels are undamaged and wrapped in excellent Bridgestone tires. The silver-grey brake callipers appear new.
Delivered new in the Netherlands, solely Porsche dealer maintained until very recent, the invoice is present. Evidently wholly original and accident-free. We acquired her from the second owner. All service history and documentation is present, same goes for the original and complete set of keys.
